Babies ?

Friday night Nathan and I got to keep our nephews for the first time. We both had a great time playing with them, but Nathan did especially.... yall know he's still just a big kid himself. Saturday we went to ACU for the wildcat walk. Wyatt and Walker were so well behaved and so sweet to us, we were sad to see them go on Saturday afternoon. It's so much fun having babies in your house.... I'm gonna have to get me one one of these days. But for now I think I'll just enjoy my giant kid husband. He's pretty much the best husband you could have: he's funny and crazy and entertaining and sweet and handsome and hardworking and so fun to be with and so loving and so good to me.....yeah I think I'll just enjoy him for a little while longer. Anyway here are some pictures of those precious nephews of ours.

Wyatt had so much fun jumping up the steps trying to be just like his Uncle

Heelies.........ugh

Have you ever been walking through the store trying to decide between oreos and rice cakes, and you turn around and nearly get knocked to the floor by some little teenie kid that is flying by on his heelies, arms flailing in big circles nearly taking out your eye, and his mother nowhere in site???? This has happened to me several times now and it makes me want to stick out my leg and trip them (I know...so mean, but don't you think its rather humiliating to be knocked down by a six year old that only weighs 35 lbs?). Finally, I found a store where I can feel safe, free to shop and turn, and ponder my purchases without fear of flying children.

Thank you Hobby Lobby.... my favorite store in the world. You have banned two of my least favorite things and I only love you more for it.

Spring has found my yard....yeah!

Spring is here, spring is here! I love spring.... it is my favorite time of year. I love it because I love flowers and green things and thunder storms. I really love thunder storms and lightening. Lightening amazes me. When I was little, lightening struck our house and made a blue streak all the way down the outside of the house- it was so cool. It also blew the sheet rock in onto my parents and little brother's head where they were sleeping in bed, ruined a few electrical appliances, and filled the house and attic with smoke. That is the only time we've ever had the fire dept come to our house and my poor little brother was made afraid of storms for what could quite possibly be the rest of his life. But that incident, however terrifying, did not deter my love for storms. Any time the clouds roll in you can find me praying for a good thunder storm. Well here are some pictures from my yard with all the things I love about spring....... Enjoy!
Welcome to my garden

I love George

I love this plant, it attracts hummingbirds which I think are soooo cool.

In the background you can see my hot gardener

This is the bench my daddy made me when I graduated from nursing school

This little rose bush is a fighter..... I've had it for over a year and this is only the second rose it
has produced.

Birthday party and Puppies!!

Saturday was my sister and my 23rd birthday(we're getting so old!)It was also James birthday- I didn't ask how old he is. My parents, my sister and her boyfriend, Gram, Mema, and James all came over for a party!! We had oh so yummy b-b-q sandwiches compliments of my mom, the best potato salad in the world (Thanks Gram!), and chocolate and strawberry cakes again thanks to my mom. We had a good time eating and visiting and playing with Vidailia and Ellie. Here are some pics from the party and just some cute ones of my animals.
