Sunday night with our nephews

We got to hang out with our nephews last night and we had a lot of fun. we played at Mr Gattis (I think Nathan had more fun than anyone), and played with Henley's new puppies. Wyatt was very gentle with the puppies. Walker loved the puppies too. He picked one up and tried to stick it in his mouth to chew on. Haha- it was so funny (p.s. No animals were injured in the making of this blog) It was good getting to spend some time with them because they are just growing up WAY to fast!. We took some picks throughout the night, but Kenzie got a little camera happy around nine o'clock....( ;) ) so that's when most of these pics are from. I sure am glad she is good about taking pics though, because I am not. So most of the pics you see below are hers (Thanks Kenz ). To view slideshow fullscreen, click on the scrapblog logo.

Nathan and Papa's Birthday Party (part 2)

I finally have some pics up from Nathan's birthday party (Thanks Jana!). Nathan and Papa's birthday was Friday February 6. Papa turned 77 and Nathan turned 25 (old man!). Poor Nathan had to go to school and work all day...literally: 8am-11pm (poor guy!, so we threw them a party on Saturday at my house. We had a big turn out and lots of fun... details posted on Feb 9. Sorry it took so long to get the picks up. As with all my slide shows, to view full screen click the scrapblog logo then click bottom right button to view full screen.

Birthday Party!

Valentine's Day!

This year we had an interesting v-day. Nathan had to work from 2-11 of both Friday and Saturday night (so sad. Nathan brought me the most beautiful flowers to work on Friday, he did a great job of picking them out! He also wrote the sweetest note. It read: To the most beautiful girl in the world ( a lie but still sweet), from the luckiest guy in the world (he just may be.......just kidding). On Saturday night I met Nathan for a romantic dinner in the Walmart parking lot. I brought the pizza and Nathan made his truck into a romantic restaurant by buying a heart candle and lighting it on the dashboard (Nice touch sweetheart). I can't complain at all about not going out on Valentine's Day because i was lucky enough to at least spend some time with my favorite person in the world!

They're finally here! Henley went through a lot for these little puppies to get here but they are all healthy and happy now. 6 puppies in all- 3 boys and 3 girls! Henley had to have a c-section the puppies were huge for her little body, i don't even know how they fit in there. One of the little boys struggled to be here, but after a lot of rubbing and clearing out his mouth and getting him to exercise those little lungs, he survived! We were worried about Henley at first because she took a long time to wake up and when she did, she wouldn't even look at her puppies. Poor Henley, she went to sleep and woke up hurting and with 6 little puppies crying and sucking on her. She probably thought "Where did these things come from?" But, later that night, after some love and attention and care from her mommy (that's me!), she was ready herself to be a mom. I layed her down in her bed and helped the pups latch on and she started smelling and licking them! Now, she's a natural, she keeps them fed and warm, and clean and protected. We tried to introduce one of our other dogs, Roxy, to the puppies but Henley wouldn't let her get near them. She's such a good mom! There is a slide show below- to view it full screen click the scrapblog logo, it will take you to the scrablog website, click full screen, and move the curser at the bottom right closer to the turtle to slow the slide show down so that you can read it.

Nathan and Papa's Birthday party.

Saturday we had a birthday party for Nathan and Papa. Nathan turned 25 and papa turned 77. They haven't missed a birthday together since Nathan was born! We had a big party- Here's the guest list: My mom (Merry), Nancy, David and his girlfriend,Jade, Mema, Gram, and James, Nathan's mom Jana, John T, Mama, the other birthday boy- Papa, Lissy, Joe, Nathan's brother Blake, his wife Kenzie and our nephews Wyatt and Walker, Bridget, Jeff and new baby Jaetn ( who I haven't learned to spell his name yet.)We had a great time visiting with family, eating hamburgers and hot dogs (great job grillmaster Nathan), and watching the birthday boys open gifts. It was great to see our nephews, they are just growing way too fast! Blake and Kenzie and Nancy stayed the night and the boys hit up the batting cages and watched "Taken," while us girls watched "He's just not that into you," (very cute and funny by the way). Afterward we played a little nintendo (old school). All weekend we were hoping that our pregnant dog Henley would have her puppies! I can't tell you how long Nancy and I spend staring at her belly watching the puppies move. Nancy had to leave early in the morning, but Jana and John T brought Wyatt and Walker back over for a late lunch and the we got to play with them for most of the afternoon. It was a great weekend and one that I wish could happen more often!
P.S. Hopefully I will have some pictures to post soon. I was hosting and wasn't able to get any pics so hopefully I can get some from someone.
